MEET OUR SUPPORT STAFF
Hartford Orthopedic Medicine (HOM) combines the benefits of a multi-disciplinary approach to managing injured patients.
We recognized long ago that helping patients who were injured through no fault of their own, who most likely are dealing with an attorney to help them with their injury, required a specialized skillset. Our doctors treat patients with compassion and competence but equally important is our ability to manage a personal injury medical file. We know that sometimes our services cannot be paid for until an insurance claim or lawsuit is settled. That's okay. We also realize the special nature of personal injury requires a greater attention to documentation and detail. Sometimes we're even called to testify or give a deposition on behalf of our patients. That too is okay. Our goal is to work alongside patients and their advocates to return them to their quality of life.

ORTHOPEDIC
The Orthopedic Department boasts some of the area's most competent and professional practitioners, uniquely qualified to address injured patients - Orthopedic Surgeon, Physiatrist, Physical Medicine, Neurologist, Radiologist, and specially-trained APRN's work together to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Enhancements to the Orthopedic Department are those of Neurology, Traumatic Brain Injury, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.
Orthopedic intervention into patient care is an effective means of managing pain and discomfort while managing musculoskeletal injuries. There's a wide range of treatment options available including trigger point injections, fluoroscopic-guided epidural steroid injections, and more.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapy at Hartford Orthopedic Medicine is about more than just exercises. Physical Therapy is a specialized profession in that PT's and PTA's may be trained in sports injuries, joint replacements, the elderly, and activities of daily living.
At Hartford Orthopedic Medicine, the Physical Therapists and Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants, focus their continuing training on treating the sometime chronic musculoskeletal conditions associated with an impact injury.
A detailed individualized treatment plan will be developed and carried out. While axial (neck & back) conditions may be managed with a Chiropractor, a Physical Therapist may be offered to manage extremity complaints like shoulders, arms, hips, legs.
CHIROPRACTIC
Hartford Orthopedic Medicine's Doctors of Chiropractic consist of Chiropractic Orthopedists and are specially trained to manage injuries sustained through accidents.
The goal is to improve mobility, alignment, relieve pain, and help the body heal itself. After an accident, a chiropractor can help with pain relief, especially in the neck and back, by reducing inflammation, restoring range of motion, alleviating headaches caused by whiplash, and addressing soft tissue injuries by realigning the spine through spinal adjustments, and implementing therapies such as hot/cold, laser, ultrasound, and even extracorporeal pulse-action technology; essentially helping to minimize pain and discomfort from the accident.
RADIOLOGY
Hartford Orthopedic Medicine's Radiology department uses the latest of diagnostic and imaging technology to help patients get the best care be it in the Orthopedic, Chiropractic, or Physical Therapy Departments.
Computerized digital x-ray technology in the Hartford and New Britain locations, allows for immediate viewing of images with less radiation exposure than conventional x-rays. The computer interface allows for the doctors to see images and radiology reports across the entire practice.
Interventional Radiology consists of a C-Arm Fluoroscope which provides real-time moving x-ray images of a patient during a procedure. This improves injection safety and outcomes.
